Update issues with Xperia P

HELP!

I'm having trouble updating my Xperia P to the Ice Cream Sanwich. I'm on the "Prepare" stage after downloading the update. I've done the following steps:

1. disconnect the cable from phone and PC

2. turn off the phone and wait for 5 seconds

3. connect the cable to the PC

4. press the volume down button while connecting the cable to the phone.

So far, it just shows the SONY logo and the charge bar.

I've disabled the firewall, already have JAVA installed and closed my antivirus.

I've repeated the steps over and over again.

What do I do next? How do I proceed with the update?

Please reply ASAP!

your phone has to be off.

also install SUS > restart your PC > run SUS > press and hold Volume Down and THEN connect the usb cable, your PC should start downloading the drivers
