Hi Guys

Now sony has confirmed that NEO V is not getting adroid 4.1. So my question is there is any other way to get jelly bean.

check the XDA forum for a custom ROM, I haven't seen one but if there's one that's the place to find it.

hello everyone .. when i connect my XPERIA NEO V to my pc it says if i want to update my software to 4.1 which is apparently jelly bean so it seems that SONY has rolled out jelly bean for 2011 XPERIA PHONES TOO

The firmware version, currently 4.1.B.0.587, is not to be confused with the Android version, currently 4.0.4 for most 2011 Xperia phones.

The two version numbers are specified in the Information section of the Settings menu.

Is there an official explanation on why XPERIA Neo V users won't get JB, at least from SONY? Is there a problem related to HW or so that prevents SONY to release the upgrade?

I thought or assumed that Sony would be servicing the Xperia Neo V (i.e. sending out updates) for 2 years from the release date of their phones. Now I know I must buy a phone every year to stay updated is ridiculas. I may dish my smart phone and go back to a regular standard phone because the smartphone stability needs updates and its not usable without updates.

I'm running CM10 android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean on my Xperia Neo and it's faster and smoother than ICS, I don't understand why Sony is not able to make a update for our devices
