Hello! I have upgraded my SK17i to ICS when I first bought it and update it again with 587 update last months. But my phone have this lag problem so, I thought I repair it via PC Companion today. The problem is, phase 3 (updating) phase doesn't seems to progress. The progress bar is at zero for an hour now and my internet is connected. So how can I fix this?

Update: This is taking too long for me to wait, I'm cancelling the update by clicking the <X> button. I hope it doesn't touch anything on the system and just downloading the update file.</X>

Update 2: I cannot boot my phone now, it shows yellow triangle with exlamation mark.

Message was edited by: Zamlee

"Factory reset" in SUS is more or less the same as "repair" in PCC.

If you wanted to do the "repair", I would assume that "factory reset" is what you wanted.

You can do it again, anyway.

How is it progressing? The factory reset option is always recommended if you're updating due to problems with your phone.

Thanks, SUS works better than the PC Companion. I didn't use factory reset though because I didn't know and I was in hurry. So, basically my phone return to the original state as in when I first bought it. Nevermind though, just took few hours to set it up and install my apps back.

I get more free internal memory by re-installing ICS. Before, I have like 40mb free memory; don't know what's really in the phone that took up so much space, I guess that's why my phone was lagging.

A feedback too; I think PC Companion is really buggy. Before this, it asked me to update the software, but I got internal error message after few minutes. So, I downloaded the full exe from Sony website, it installed successfully, but when I run Support Zone, it took an hour to install 2mb component. So, I guess that's explain my problem.

Again thanks Glorifyday, Johan!
