Yellow tint?

Anyone else got a yellow tint to their Sola screen? I'm just wondering if this is a problem with my unit or if the phone just has "warm" colors. Here's a picture comparing it with Nokia E7 and Galaxy S3.

It only improves a tiny bit but it's still yellow especially when compared to S3 or iPad.

You are right.. I did check my sola and its the same yellowish screen.

I dont think Sony has any fix to this issue.

The unit that was on display also had the same yellowish hue. Guess maybe it's just the phone's normal color? Need more people to post :smileygrin:

That never hit me, but yes, the sola screen have some yellowish tint.

It seam less apparant with auto bightness off.

Yeah I guess leaving auto-brightness off is a good idea. It's not that bad, but it gets annoying when you use another device then switch back to Sola and notice how "yellower" it is.

Anyone else? I'd really like to confirm this to see if I should exchange it for a new one or not. It's kind of a hassle for me so it'd be nice to know if I should bother.

I have also checked this and it's not a problem with the phone. The color hue of displays differ between models. Check the warranty documents for more info.

This is a confirmed issue for other 2012 Sony phones, especially the Xperia S. Follow the S, users are raging about it everywhere.

I noticed it with my Sola also.

mine looks more like the S3 in the picture. can't say it has a yellowish tint. but I have the flickering issue though

Wow that sucks. Guess I'll take a yellow screen over that Now that I've googled around a bit, it seems the ICS update helped with Xperia S yellowness. Maybe we can hope for the same?

Good! I hope so! I noticed that my screen KILLS my battery, even on low brightness. Did they make the white look yellow to use less battery? Like Google choosing black for the menus to use less battery? I would have expected it to be a hardware issue. If that is fixed in software, phew!!

My xperia sola has same yellow tint issue. its really annoying. I will never purchase sony mobiles onwards and never recommend to anyone

yes xperia sola has warm colors but sola if fine not that much yellowesh, i compared it with note 2(which has cold colors 720p pannel) and gionee e6(which has cold colors 1080p pannel) by comparing it with these two phone my sola screen color dose not differ by great margin.i hope this information helps you ,but i can't help you in getting rid of that.

Im also facing same yellow tint issue. I really feel bad when I see any other mobiles fresh screen colors. I shall never purchase sony mobiles onwards........
