Xperia 2011 new apps

Hello, I would like to start a petition for making new SONY apps (walkman, album and movies) available for 2011 series. It is not fair that 2012 users got it and we haven't. I own Xperia Neo, and honestly, I don't have enough money to buy new phone every year, so I hope you'll provide us with those apps because we (your loyal customers, (I am buying SE phones forever)) deserve them.

These apps aren't important. I'd rather they spent their time and continued to fix bugs in the underlying ICS OS and tweak it for better performance (or even give it Jellybean).b

Those apps are important if you use multimedia in your phone. I have conducted a little survey and 72% of 2011 users (on 300 users tested) want those apps in their phones.

Well if you have a survey asking users if they want more then what do you expect them to say?

If it's about priorities then it's a completely different story. Multimedia apps are replacable and easily available, and can be provided by many sources. A stable and bug-free OS is something that only Sony can really provide.

Yeah, I can see how Sony can provide stable and bug free OS, I have Android 4.0.4. and it's lagging, video camera is terrible and dial pad is taking 6 seconds to load. I did everything to fix that, even completely format SD and reinstall firmware via SUS and nothing has changed, which tells us that it's problem in firmware.

And it's not the point to have those apps via other sources, of course we can have them, but we want something that is unique to Sony, and since they already made those apps available for 2012 series, we've felt left out and they just need to make them available for 2011 series, not even make changes to those apps because they can work on our handsets, many have had them tested from XDA forums.

i completely agree with Niklaus ....

when i got my arc s i had the option to choose from sony ericsson, samsung, htc but i chose sony just because i am a huge fan of the sound quality sony devices used to produce, but honestly among the other media app on which am not making a big fuss about. the stock music player that came along with my device is way below average and i am quite depressed with it..

and as far as a stable os goes i guess its sony's responsibility to probide us with one...

but i am not complaining about either of these issues.. its sony's choise whether they want to keep their customers happy or now.

and by the way ... availablity of various media apps in the market is not the answer for why did not sony provide with something like sony exclusive stuffs. now am not saying that they should give us everything.. but yeah those basic sony special stuffs that really matters like a nice or rather a decent music player with some options .. oh honestly the stock muic player has nothing special about sony.. i mean just a good ui is not enough.....

u may or maynot agree.. just my point of view

P.s - my request to sony. please give us some good music app

and if u cant make a stable os then give us the option to roll back to gb 2.3.7 or something officially

and by the way i am not rich enough to change my cell phone every six months just because i did not like the music app... so when 2012 models got such cool apps.. what makes us the 2011 users non deserving of them.. even we paid sony for our models.. and we paid a lot

so sony please make (us) believe that u guys did not dump us, or atleast u did not forget about us

Sony should provide new media applications to all 2011 xperia models, because the stock music app is below average. it doesnt have repeat option,clear bass & stereo,3D surround and so on. i bought sony xperia because of sound quality but now regreted of choosing this

mil and jeeva, thank you for supporting me. I assume that you too own 2011 series like me (I own Xperia Neo) and I, like mil, really don't have money to change my phone every six months, or even every year. So I'll probably going to buy Xperia V next fall/winter.

If you'd like a more advanced music player the easiest way is try out some of the one's availabvle on Play Store. There's a great bunch of them, and many are really good and has the most functions.

i know lot of advanced music players available in play store, now im using jetAudio basic as my default player. But what is essential in all smartphones is having good stock media applications. i find new Sony media applications having nice features and we are also your customers then why are you denying this good new media applications to 2011 xperia customers only? its really a strange one! what is the difficulty of providing this apps to 2011 xperias? as a loyal sony customer forever, i have the right to get these apps. waiting for your positive reply petter.
