SIM card not recognized

Hi, I got my Xperia S 20 days ago and SIM card worked fine until today when suddenly the screen went black and I couldn't turn it on. Then I read here that I should try and restart the phone and I did that and the phone turned on and all apps worked fine, but since then SIM card hasn't been recognized. I tried updating the software and restoring factory settings,but it didn't help. Can you help me with this problem?

i would suggest to perform repair once more with http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/

if not, please try to go to a sony service center, to have your phone checked.
