Hazel wifi problems - please help

My German Hazel does not want to use Canadian wifi!

No matter if I am trying to login to my home wlan or using an open hotspot - I get a mixture of messages but no wifi access:

"Out of network area, not available, error in communication etc."

I am not using any data plan, just plain prepaid on FIDO.ca - therfore a phone able to use wifi.

Sometimes the Hazel briefly logs-in to my home wlan, but than immediately drops out on an ongoing basis, i.e. in/out continously when in auto-login mode.

If it stays in for longer than 30 sec. (rarely) and I select 'internet' I am prompeted to choose a network provider - something I don't want when using my wlan.

I never had the chance to use the browser or any internet service at all.

I updated the phone software 2 days ago - no improvement!

Any ideas?

Gute Nachrichten!

Mit einem erneuten Update der Handy-Software und einem abermaligen Entfernen des Akkus geht das Hazel in alle wlans.
Also alle Einstellungen an Router/Handy ware ok - nur die Software des Hazels nicht.

Bedauerlich ist in dem ganzen Szenario nur der mehr als lausige Kundenservice von a) dem T-Online Händler in Pulheim (NRW) der die Geräte an uns verkaufte und sich dann aus der Affaire zog und B) Sony Ericsson selbst, die es nicht schafften den Software Fehler als solchen klar und breit zu deklarieren, ihre Kunden zu informieren und sich für den Mist zu entschuldigen. Wie von Zauberhand kam ja dieses update aufs Netz.

Wir haben $50 an Postgebühren für eine misslungen Rücksendung von Kanada nach Deutschland bezahlt (Händler hat dann Annahme verweigert!), um am Ende festzustellen, dass alles hätte einfacher geregelt werden können!
Ich hoffe, einige Sony Ericsson Leute sperren hier ihre Ohren ganz weit auf!

Ich habe folgendes Problem...

Kann mich zwar mit dem Router verbinden, bin jedoch nicht in der Möglichkeit Internet zu benutzen. Hat jemand Erfahrungen damit?

Ich habe einen D-Link Router.#

Why don't you try a master reset and/or the "repair phone" option via PC suite?

For both DogDabig and Hazelala:

It could, so give it a try. Also, make sure that under Internet settings, the Allow local conn is set to Yes.

I repaired my cell, eaven did the update again, but I'm still haveing the same problem. Does anyone else have the sam problem too? I can connect to the router, but cannot use the internet. Only some pages can be opened, but not all the time. And then it goes realy slow. Some other routers arent makeing problems. It deppends on the router brand, I think.
