If your LED turned green for a few seconds, there's nothing wrong with the phone. The PC sync for update may not be working.

Download Sony update service and try with that. Alternatively try a different PC.

Please try using Flashtool ,if you want ,you can download the FTF (Rom) from XDA(It's official),otherwise ,you can make the own FTF with updataing cache by Flashtool, don't worry ,it's ok .

The right way is to turn off your phone and wait for 30 seconds atleast. Then press the volume down key and don't release it until the software says. While it is pressed insert the micro usb into the sola and then you will get the notification on the screen to release the key.

I did the same mistake the first time I tried. If it doesn't connect try again. Or use the other one(PCC/SUS) then the one you are using right now.

hi friend,(nikunjsola)

i hav also encountered the same... but yu hav not mentioned the exact problem in this post! i guess your problem must be, after you download the software update it asked you to switchoff ua mobile , wait for 5 sec, press volume down button and insert usb. i know you hav done the same! but then it nly goes to charging mode and not update mode. while yu inserted the usb with volume down button pressed, yu might hav seen the error message below on the tray saying "USB DEVICE IS NOT RECOGNIZED" ! there is the problem. its the problem with the usb drivers installed in your pc! your mobile is perfectly fine . to solve this issue, you should either re-install the usb drives or use another pc !
