downloading update from Mac

Hello,

i've had problems dowloading updates for my Xperia U from my Mac. I downloaded the Sony bridge for Mac so my computer recognizes the phone and i can transfer data without any problem but as soon as i launch the update, my phone automatically turns off. I suppose it's some kind of security mesure but i can't change it and i have'nt found anything in the manual concerning my problem. Any help or advice is most welcome, thanks!

When you press update do you get any pop-up window with instructions?

I think you should and they should advice you to turn off the phone and to press and hold volume down while connecting the cable again.

Let me know what happens after you press update.

Thank you for your answer but i managed to download the update via Wifi without using the USB cable so problem sovled for the moment.
