iMap Email Options

Phone: Sony Experia Arc
Android Version: 4.0.4 / Build Number : 4.1.B.0.431

Since upgrading my Xperia Arc to Ice Cream I have had problems, problems that didn't exist prior to the upgrade. I was advertised to do a Factory Reset, which appears to have resolved the issues I was having but now I have another problem.

Before the Factory Reset I had two options when setting up my iMap email;
1) Number of emails shown (which included the option 'All')
2) Delete email from server

These options are now not available on my iMap email (although the 'delete email from server' option is available when setting up a pop3 email account).

Should these option be available..? If so, how do I go about getting them back..?

You are talking about the stock ics android Email app.

I don't use that app but where are you supposed to see these 2 options:

1) Number of emails shown (which included the option 'All')

2) Delete email from server

I am talking about the email application that is part of the Android software, not a downloaded or internet based application.

Delete Email From Server

Before the update I used to go into ... 'Email > Settings > Email Account > Incoming Settings' and the option "Delete email from server" was available. The options were 'Never' & 'When I delete from Inbox'.

When I choose 'When I delete from Inbox', the emails would be deleted from the server when I delete on my phone.

This option is now not available within iMap, but it is still available on pop3 setup.

Number of Emails Shown

I can't remember the exact location and field number but I am sure this was definetly within the email settings.

Hello All,

there doesn't appear to be a resolution to this one here, does anyone have an update? I have two laptops and my Xperia z synced to the same IMAP account, if I delete a message on my phone it never reaches the laptops?
