If you have set the setting for the call volume to maximum there's no further way to increase the volume as a standard function.

You could try performing a repair of your phone's software to make sure nothing's wrong with the phone. You can easily perform the repair with our program Sony PC Companion, availalbe for download from the link below.

http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/

What do you think about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey.

Hello,

Had to register on this forum because i just have to comment on this.

Sony support, don't you have any other answer except repairing software? Most users don't want to lose ther data, and for most problems repairing software doesen't work because the bug is in original software itself or in hardware.

In call speaker volume is too low, and it had been reported from a lot of users here. For me, speaker volume is also too low and repairing phone software doesen't help. Volume is good in quet room, but in crowded room or outside, volume is much too low.

Correct answer from you would be:

"Sorry for your problems, we will contact the developers and forward them the information so they can fix it in next update" or "Sorry about that, it's a hardware problem, please send your phone to a service center"

This issue bas been mentioned here too much times, so a beter answer is expected from support staff than just try to repair with pcc.

Hope you get this fixed soon, and would love to see more understanding and more help to your customers.

Edit: Gave my Sola to my girlfriend, and bougt smartpone that was released 2 years ago, has single core 1 Ghz processor, ICS, and it works much more stable and smoother than sola

Best regards,

Davor Levstek

The in-call volume is actually a software(firmware) limitation coz even if you use the headphones to talk, their is a limit and the volume cannot be increased after a limit. Whereas the same headphones are much louder while listening to music.

I am so sure about this coz even my bluetooth sounds too low when I use it with my sola and works as a charm with my older nokia.

It seems like more of a hard-coded in-call limitation in the firmware which can be easily sorted out, if the developers pay a little more attention.

P.S Like Davor Levstek said, I would also really appriciate if support staff stops advicing things like repairing the sola with PCC or SUS or by anyother means as this issue has been reported by enough users.

The incoming volume for Sola is very low in crowded places, this is the major issue of Sola and this is not software but hardware issue. Hundreds of users complained about it but Sony have not fixed it and I dont think sony will/can fix this anymore.
