New ICS user interface for sony!!!

Hi all, i've been checking on the new ICS for Xperia S and P, and found that the home page are the same as we have now on our phones, and wondering why Sony wouldnt use the much better looking new ICS user inerface and home buttons!!!!

Since we have our own "look" called UX we have chosen to re-design some things and also keep some of the things of course from the vanilla version of Android.

Check for another launcher in Play Store to be able to modify the home screen is my tips!

What do you think about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey.

I agree with the OP. UX made sense when compared against stock GB, but for ICS ??

Better be done with it, update will be eassier to make.

May i suggest something else, what if you add a theme for the original ICS UI as an option in the new update for our Sola, i think that would be fair enough for i and i think lots of people dont like this launcher stuff, i prefer the original SW from the vendor, hope i get a reply from the CS for this!!!

Yeh. That's a great idea. I too don't like installing additional launchers for a good UI. If Sony could add the original ICS UI as an option, it would be great.

Petter, it's very good and original to use your own look, but there are some lacks in it such as the status bar why did you make it empty unlike Samsung i think those shortcuts are very useful it wouldn't hurt if you add them.. i mean why would you make your users resort to using other launcher and even root their phones and put them at risk ? Can’t you just apply those fixes? And spare us the trouble and spare yourselves being worried that many users will consider changing their phone brands because of these lacks?

I think if Sony open to users Suggestions they should consider this one, and we're not saying to replace their own UI, just giving us the option to use the original ICS UI, maybe we could create a poll and see what other users would choose!!!

I'm using holo laucher with holo locker. It's a good launcher that provides ICS theme on gingerbread. It's also smooth and not resource hungry.

But Tayan , this doesn't add change to the status bar which is the main thing that needs to be changed about the SE launcher..

The interface remains pretty much the same for the main screen,

changes would be on Notification with contact images and slide animations, setting panel would b replica of ICS universally, gallery and walkman apk modified /changes

sharp edges on the bar, setting panel on the top, wallpaper and widget selection would be clubed.

and minor tweaks.

But my question remains when?
