ICS eating a lot of battery

Hi friends,

After ICS update my phone is eating so much of battery :smileycry:.Morning around 7.45 it was 83% and now it reached 24%!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes Thats right. ICS is consuming lot of battery even while standby mode is activated. Need to find a solution for this .....

I am wondering how is it possible.. when they are advertizing that ICS increases battery standby time by 4 times.. this wont happen unless you are an above average user

Hey there

Go for a software repair to ensure clean installation

Backup everything as it will erase all data on phone (sms, contacts,apps)

Update/Repair your phone via PCC or SUS

PCC (PC COMPANION) – Repair your software with this .First do the setup without connecting your mobile to pc.(only connect when you are asked to).

Do it as follow >> PCC > SUPPORT ZONE> SOFTWARE UPDATE> REPAIR SOFTWARE (written with blue)

I don't seen that it's eating more battery, like it was with Ginger. Mine works fine. Don't forget that it's need some time for better work. Once again, mine power is fine. 😃 I'm glad that I've install ICS.

Thanks for the reply.I have repaired the OS through SUS.and i have observed one more thing .after i upgraded to ICS using sony pc companion,whenever i install any app from maket it never used to create shortcut on the wall .but after i have repaired through SUS it is creating shortcuts which i believe working rightly.Because my friend who is using htc with ICS is also getting shortcuts after the app is installed

@vinish Disabled Auto sync,GPS. Go to settings-> data usage and check which app is using more bandwidth. Uninstall or stop that.

Extended battery life.. its true.. I have been using wifi for the whole night yesterday till 4 am and fel asleep, still more than half battery was lef when I woke up.. which is lot better than GB..

You can disble GPS/WIFI/AutoSync/Data Usage when you're not using it.
