XPERIA P ICS Update Problem

Hi all,

Today i have updated my phone to ICS through PCC. After updating the phone, the PCC show the below instructions,

1. Disconnect the phone.

2. Remove the battery and insert.

3. Turn on

I have disconnnected the phone from PC, but the battery of XP is not removable, and now im not able to turn on my mobile

Its showing a warning symbol.

Please help me

Now i have contacted XPERIA support, they told me that it seems to be a hardware issue. i need to visit the Sony Service Centre

Dont bother the call support guyz.. they are of no use for anything.. try the SUS once again. if it is still not working contact service centre as a last resort

Call center support is all useless. They are a bunch of parrots trained to keep reciting the same crap over and over again till the customer hangs up

Follow the instructions

Shutdown your phone

Press and hold Power Button and Volume Up button at the same time

5 Seconds > Restart Phone

10 Seconds > Shutdown Phone

Now repair it

Backup everything as it will erase all data on phone (sms, contacts,apps)

Update/Repair your phone via PCC or SUS

PCC (PC COMPANION) – Repair your software with this .First do the setup without connecting your mobile to pc.(only connect when you are asked to).

Do it as follow >> PCC > SUPPORT ZONE> SOFTWARE UPDATE> REPAIR SOFTWARE (written with blue)

PC Companion http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/

SUS ( Sony Update Service) ... download and install it on pc and follow the on-screen instructions http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/Software%20Downloads/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.12.5.exe

Finally I did it... got downloaded via PCC in less than 30 min... installation took less than 5 min... android got upgraded in another 5 min for installing apps, finishing boot etc and at last came the sony xperia logo and I am ready to go

I cant update my phone idont knw why it just saying me that i have the latest software but i still have 2.3.7 gingerbread i cant update ics

maybe it's not yet released in your country. even i don't get ics til now. im planning to manually update my phone to ics.

i cannot update my xperia p

i tried sus and pc.c but nothing is working for me

there is no option of repairing software in pc.c

and when i try upgrading the updATE prosess stops when the installizing part comes

kindly help SONY

I hope you have set your country / language as India / English ( India) .

Or your windows ( though i cant confirm the effect of this ).

try factory reset your phone ( erase everything ) and then try to update.

You havent flashed any ROM ??? ( that can cause update problem )

Since your process stops at initializing part, ( i also encountered this problem once )

Create a new user account in your windows and run PCC from that account. It worked for me ( i encountered problem when updating GB firmware )

I found the repair thing

but even that stop in the instalizing part!!!!
