Xperia S problems

I bought an SXS on 19th of this month, and right after unboxing upgraded to ICS 4.0.4 from the store itself. Since then, I am experiencing certain issues (which I don't know are because of ICS or not, since I havent run GB on this device). The problems are listed as below:

1. When searching for a contact, the search field resets itself often. Sometimes it works correctly, but most of the time, due to this problem, its impossible to type and search for a contact.

2. Coupling with the previous problem, the infinite view for a contact freezes almost all time.

3. The FB inside xperia feature is not working properly. Its not syncing the contact numbers (I observed this feature run very smooth on Samsung devices)

4. The quick contact popup (or bubble) is not working from inside the gmail app. I have seen this feature work in other ICS phones.

Please let me know whether there are any updates to solve these issues.

Which build number of ICS are you running on?

Settings > About phone.

Hi Johan,

I currently have build number 6.1.A.0.452. I am yet to upgrade to the 2.45 build which I just saw today. Does this build take care of these issues ?

I haven't got any change log for the .45 update yet but I suggest that you go ahead and do the update.

Hi Johan,

I upgraded my SXS to 2.45, but the bugs are still there. However, I noticed couple of things:

1. The search contacts field has changed a bit, it worked fine for some time but then again the reset thing started to happen

2. The Gmail app also displayed quick contact popup for one contact, but after that no other contact bubble were displayed

Apart from that, the only thing I noticed is that the Wisepilot icon has chaged. Since there are no upgrade options available, can you provide any other solution to the above mentioned problems ?
