System software TrackID fails to start

The TrackID software embedded in my phone's system has suddenly stopped working. I'm getting the following error message now:

"Outdated software version. For further instructions, please contact Sony ericcson."

I've upgraded the Android version to ICS, but TrackID worked flawlessly and has stopped working only now.

Anyone got any clue about this one ??

have you unlocked the bootloader?

nope.. As i mentioned, the app was working good untile some time back. I really have no idea what went wrong!! there have been no twaeking or messing around with the phone at all.

Just curious, was there any new TrackID update avaialbel lately ? if was, how do i get it updated ?? C

Considering there's no direct navigation provided in the erro msg I posted above..

Checked the Play store.. but that is a different version.. different from what the in phone default version is. Anyway, tried installing that but it sits as a saparate application. The original one is still faulty.

PS. - The new one doesnt work as well. asks for an update and when u click on 'Yes' opens the same Play Store page again where i downloaded it!

The same problem here. I didn't touch bootloader, TrackID shows info about outdated software. Version from Google Play doesn't work too (needs update, which isn't available).

My FW - ICS 4.0.4 .587

There seems to be some problems with TrackID at the moment I have reported this so hopefully a fix will be in place soon.

hi,

i know its weird but my TrackID has started working again.. I don't know why it failed earlier or have no clue why it came back on track.

I had switched off my phone once today for like half hour or something.. but can't say if that did the trick.

however.. Please keep on investigating from your end for the root cause.. for this could be part of a global conspiracy...

same here

When i read al.alwez's post i open trackID.

For first eh gave me "error 03", but now is working.

I don't know...

My phone was on all the day and no reboot. Unbelievable.
