Problem with Updating Sony Xperia U

Dear Sony Team,

I got a message Update from Sony that the latest Android Software is ready to be updated on my device and that I need to use the PC to update. I installed the Sony PC Companion on my pc having a windows 7 & everytime I update , the software downloads all & when it reach the step checking Phone , my mobile Shuts Down .

I tried this several times & it is always with the same problem I even tried to uninstall and re-install back the Sony PC companion , thought that the problem is with the sotware but always with no Luck .

Can anyone here help me please I really need that ICS on my Xperia U Device !

In case you faced this problem before, I appreciate if you can also mail me the solution to get out of that problem: my email is wassas@msn.com

This is what you need

Update Service (SUS)

It worked for me

The new update is not, I think, for ICS but simply a firmware update for network hangup problems.

In fact, this couldn't Help me at all the links are not downloading , plus my main issue is that I need to have ICS on my Mobile.

Any other solution or idea how to do that ?

is not resolving the issue that I am having , the problem is not that I am not able to install components, my issue is that when I reach the step of "Checking Phone" my mobile Shuts Down during the checking.

dont even try to update xperia u gingerbread on ics! i have update my phone last month and now my phone slows the keypad typing is delay! you got to press hard the icon before it opens! sony come on! why are you launching a firmware with full of bugs! why dont you test it before you launch it! how can i go back to gingerbread!
