Still problems with speed using contacts and internet connection issues

Thanks for the feedback on my previous post. Battery life time seems to have improved.

But still two serious problems:

1) The speed of accessing the contacts is shockingly slow. It can take minutes to send a simple SMS. It takes too long to type a letter and then have it displayed on the phone. When opening Contacts in the address book, the phone crashes frequently. It gives you the option to wait or force stop.

2) Internet access

I am currently travelling in Germany. 3G connection works for the phone. On wifi, it says connected. But the browser times out and on email I get an errror message: "can't connect to server".

I have switched on / off the airplane mode. Ticked and unticked the wifi settings, checked the password and enabled/disabled data sync (roaming stays switched off)

I am using the .184 software update and am not happy with the phone performance so far.

Have you made any software repair via PC Companion on the .184 software too see if it improves or if it could fix these problem of yours?
