Hello Support,

Can you please let me know when can we expect the ICS update for Xperia U phones? I believe that most of the issues faced will be resolved once when the update is released? Please let me know, am waiting for a very long time now.

The rollout plans for the Xperia NXT series (Xperia S, Xperia P and Xperia U) are progressing as planned.

The Xperia S started being updated towards the end of June. Then Xperia P will follow after this, whilst Xperia U will receive it a little later in Q3.

As always we will keep you in the loop with the latest info as soon as we can. Any official Sony Mobile communication regarding software upgrades will be published on: http://blogs.sonymobile.com/products/

ICS update for Xperia U ( India) available now. My wife has U and it is over the air ( around 26MB)

I dont see any of it yet(am in India). Have checked PCC as well and nothing there.Can anybody else confirm this? Over the air ICS seems unlikely.

It says latest Android software available and it shows in the phone's built-in system update app. Ill take a screen shot and post it tonite when I reach home. I was surprised too coz I have neo v and I had ICS update using PCC.

My wife, after seeing my sluggish Neo V post-ICS-update does not want to take the risk despite me trying to convince her that her Xperia U has double the power of my Neo V. Let's see and her U is infested with the 'purple spot on camera' also which makes her phone's gallery flooded with only the photos captured pre-purple-spot-invasion. Overall, I am not very happy with her experience with the so called Xperia U mainly because of the annoying purpler-spot on the camera

that purple spot will be gone after any update, its software related issue which i had it too. But i had to root the phone and reflash it with the same update (this when was no update available) and the problem is gone

dont worry, update it and it will solve the problem

Nothing over the air... nor on PCC... However, there is a lag and the PCC reads, "Checking for updates"... Has ICS arrived???

So why have not Sony announced any updates on the ICS for xperia U? As per the reply you posted millions years ago in this thread, the ICS should be here by now even in the following articel it should be here by

Either stay clam and wait for the update of go sell ur phone and get ur samsung .. Dont debate abt the products here .. being here as a lame man speaking Non Sense is easy for all ... Developers out ther know what it is ... They have already started rollin out ICS .. it ll come as they v told ... Its clearly mentioned In next few weeks so just wait for it .. Even i m an Xperia U user .. everyone s out there waiting patiently except for few ppl who dont understand the technical stuffs.. Sony has released the ICS just like it had promised within the period of time ... Just wait and update it ..
