ICS update - Xperia GO - performance issues

Hi,

I am from INDIA, I got the ICS update for my Xperia GO and I feel that the performance and the speed of the phone has come down a litte...

I tried stopping some of the apps which are running in the background but still it lags a little.

I am facing this issue after my phone got updated to ICS 4.0.4.

Did anyone whose is having Xperia GO ICS 4.0.4 facing similar issues....?

do some app optimization and better yet do a settings reset. If these dont solve the issue, do a repair using Sony Update Service.

Yes Dear i m also facing the same & i have reinstall full factory reset from sony update service ..but still facing performence issue ...2.3 was awesome on sony go....hope after someday new firmware may be issued by Sony...

hello i too facing the same problem on my xperia go... you know the speed of the phone i enjoyed in previous version 2.3 i did not have it 4.0 which is very disappointment for me, and i am not sure how long a new firmware will arive from sony to fix this performance issue in 4.0 for xperia go... will sony do something on this quickly?

Same problem.

Games are not fun anymore.

Basic operation on main menu became much slower...

And Sony support sais they are not supporting downgrading, so there is no official way of doing it back!

Ah: and did Update repair... something like 15 times. No result.

Hello There,

I have done "repair Phone" and now I feel difference in the performance.

I see the performance has improved a little but not up to the mark. Still I see lag in the camera and some other operations.

Could anyone from SONY XPERIA SUPPORT answer to our problems or let us know is there any firmware being released to fix these issues....?
