Hi,

I have very annoying problem. The second day after I bought Xperia S, I started to have this problem.

The phone works very well at first. After some time (which is very random, sometimes 1 hour sometimes 2-3 hours later) the phone stops responding. even I cannot take the call while it is in that state. Whichever application I tried to launch, phone gives a dialog box saying "application does not respond. kill the application?" options are "wait or kill". even when I press the "home" button it responds too late at the end open the same dialog box. It never comes back. so I use the forced reset to restart the phone.

What I tried:

1- the initial android version was 2.3.7 with firmware version 6.0.A.3.73, i have upgraded it to 6.0.A.3.76. didn't resolve the problem

2- now i have upgraded it to 4.0.4 with firmware version 6.1.A.0.452. didn't resolve the problem.

3- i have disabled 3g. didn't resolve the problem

4- i have disabled data and used just wi-fi. didn't resolve the problem

I have seen similar posts but some had this problem while playing games. This happens even I don't play games on the phone.

Can any body help me on this annoying problem?

best regards

Sinan

I know this is not what you want to hear but have you tried to run a repair or doing a factory reset.

If none of them work then it sounds like you may be 1 of the 8 out of 10 people that have problems with this phone myself included however I had to downgrade to fix my phone
