Sim Card not working

Hey people, i have a great issue, my Sim Card is placeable without the adapter (it's the big ones)

When i put my simcard on the phone i start the Xperia U and it appears "Without Sim Card".

Well, this is pretty annoying :s

Note: I'm putting the Sim Card with the golden part faced up (faced to the battery).

I hope some solution..

try a brand new SIM card

already did and the results are 0.

The phone was working well, but one moment i removed the sim card and putted again and suddendly didn't worked.

By the way, it doesn't ask me to put the pin :s

your SIM card has a pin? remove it, also any taskiller or antivirus

I suggest you to repair it with SONY Update Service.but if you already repair it with PCC,if it works,lucky you

Already followed your advice and at the moment i'm repairing it with Sony Service Update.

It's installing ..

Not working, keeps telling me i don't have any sim card. And i already inserted the sim and restart the phone but i keep getting that

Before i initiate the repairing i tried like you said but after putting the Pin of Sim as required it gave me an error "Pin is incorrect" something like this. The pin required is the same of when i turn on the phone right?

ps: Allready uninstalled the antivirus.

Already removed the protection but continues not recognizing the sim card.

I bought it in Portugal with my portuguese card, then i came to France and it detected networks from the country normally, i called some friends and it worked. Today i took the card off and inserted again a few minutes later and after that don't ready any sim card, but my portuguese sim card works in another phone.

I think it's a hardware issue perhaps on the card reader, what are your opinion?
