Same problem for me, same build number. I have removed the apps that were aiming to save battery power by manipulating the data connection. The only one active is the standard sonyericsson "Power Saver" where I have also set on "inactive".

Only solution I have seen is to power cycle the phone every morning...

Have you installed any 3rd party power saver app (Like Juice defender, go power saver) ?. Because by changing the mode in this app, it would stop data connection when your screen is locked. But it will invoke data connection back once the screen is unlocked. It seems to be strange issue. If you got such power saver app (except default one), uninstall it and check out.

Hi, I have uninstalled juice defender. No other apps are (supposed to) interfere with the data connection. It does not happen regularly, it seem to occur after a few days continously powered on.

I am now monitoring the apps that keep on running, see if it is possible to link it to a specific one.

I have tried to go to airplane mode, and then back to normal but that does not help. I have to power cycle the phone to get a data connection again.

I also have the same problem. Maybe because the phone is not able to initiate data connectivity when it changes mobile towers to which it was connected.

Are these glitches rectified in the new 6.1.A.2.45 system update ??.

Same problem for me too. However I have narrowed it down to be more related to having the wifi enabled and connected to a router, and then leaving the area of that wifi network without first switching the wifi off on the phone. eg, being at home connect to my home router, and then leaving to go to the office.

I have no power save apps running, not even the pre-installed one, ICS build is 6.1.A.0.453.

What i did was i made the inbox check frequency every 15 minutes. This means that the phone has to use data every 15 minutes. I know this isnt very efficient, however it did stop the problem. I have also only tried it one day.

I too have tries something, after having changed the e-mail check frequency.

Last Thursday I removed the "Set mobile data limit" check box under data usage section in settings.

This pushes the red limit bar right to the top of the chart.

Since doing this, I have gone in and out of using 3G/HSDPA and configured wifi profiles without any actual data connectivity issues, i.e. having a data connection but not actually being able to request Internet data via a browser or app.

If you try this, let the thread know how you get on.

Neil
