Low Battery Backup

Hi, I found my Xperia P is having low battery package, I have never used more than 17 hours after full charge. I tried lot of changes in modes like Data/Wi-fi/Bluetooth OFF, low display brightness (Not auto adjustment), normal wallpaper (black background), no widgets, hepatic feedback off. So I use just for calls, sms, and 1 hour 3G, then I got 17 hours backup otherwise I get 12 hours or 14 hours. Tell me what is the problem here? I'm not upgraded my android still it is Gingerbread, is that a problem?

well, "WCDMA(preferred)/GSM" setting is the culprit, when ever 3G not required swith to "GSM Only" it makes a lot of difference, use auto power saver mode for brighteness, it automatically adjusts to the lighting conditions and sucks less battery than custom brightness settings, try these tips you'll defnetly see the change, XP on ICS is even better

you can also know if your phone is fully charge when the thunderbolt sign on the battery bar dissapeared.
