firmware 184 availability

i can't seem to update my device to 184. it came with 162 when i bought it.

update service and PC companion tells me i already have the latest firmware.

is the 184 firmware not available to all Sola's out there ? i didn't buy it from a specific service provider, so i don't understand why do i need to wait if at all to get it ?

Sometimes it takes some time before all units of one model get's their update, and it sounds like that might be the case in your errand I'm afraid. Hopefully it will appear shortly, so try checking for updates with PC Companion again in a couple of days.

i know recieved a message update 188 is available via PC companion, however trying to update the phone it then tells me the update coudn't be found by the update engine for my device.

can you please tell which countres or serial numbers can be updated and to which version.

and please please don't send links to the web-site because the sony web-sites still shows the 162 as the latest...the same faulty firmware which left so many customer with disconnecting buggy phone.
