Internal memory detected as sdcard

In xperia sola internal storage Is detected as sdcard. I have bought this mobile for gaming but due to this I can't install more than 2 gameloft hd games. This mobile totally sucks. Plz friends reply how to solve this issue without rooting and unlocking boatloader. Because I know non of the Sony representative reply me. And the funny thing I saw is, In top 10 contributor of this forum only one Sony representative is there hahaha. I don't expect reply from Sony but atleast inform to development section, so that it will not repeat in ics update.

can you elaborate on your issue?

go to settings > storage, what do you see? post a screenshot

also, settings > applications > manage appications > on sd card post a screenshot

Sd card shown in full manager is my internal storage all sd files of gameloft games saves in that folder.

that's a file manager not what I asked, but when you install a game that it's quite heavy most of it will go on the SD card and the other part on the internal storage, what seems to be the problem? can you elaborate?

The issue is whenever I install heavy games like asphalt, tintin from gameloft they saves there data files in sdcard/gameloft/games folder. Sola pick my internal storage as sd card thats the issue. My sdcard is detected as ext_card.

I would say that's the game developer issue not Sony, check with other games.

From the above images u can understand that I have 8 gb sdcard installed. But in apllications/ manageapps/ sdcard its shown as 4 gb. That 3.7 gb is my internal storage not the 8 gb sdcard. I think now u should understand my problem.

As you can see on my next picture, when i move my app like asphalt, apk file moved to sd card(sdcard is internal 4 gb storage not my 8 gb installed card)then my sdcard(internal storage) available memory deduced. No effect on my ext_card.

even if you move the apps to your SD card part of the app/game will remain on the internal storage. I do not see the issue here at all. you might want to contact them or go to their website, or contact Sony but it doesn't seem that there's an issue

try this, move your game to your internal storage > unmount your SD card > try again aslo is the SD card compatible? can you move music, pictures etc there?

Ok tell me one thing if I have 8 gb sdcard installed then why in app/manageapp/sdcard shiws only 3.6 gb. And yes my sdcard is compatible and my all music, videos and setupup files there. All working fine and recognise by music player too.

I understood your question. Thats the bug in sola, you cant move any games/apps to SD card!!!

I tried to move and it said moved to SD card but actually saved in my internal memory in a folder named SD card.

I formatted my 8 GB card and it was completely empty. Then I tried to move apps from internal memory to SD card, it said moved but there was no data in SD card. It was still completely empty meaning nothing was actually moved to SD card but just moving to a folder named SD card which is in Internal momory only!! Fooling the customers!!!

Thank god u understand. But the main issue is sony should understand this. Thats why I have written in my first post that Sony representative will never reply on my post.

I'm using Sola with multitple issues, nobody is bothered and my threads were unanswered and ignored :smileysad:. This was the first time I bought Sony phone AND.........
