Mini pro not recognized by PC

Hi,

I have a mini pro SK171 with android 4.0.4 Recently (after an android update?) I started experiencing this problem: there seems to be no communication between The PC (with Vista as the operative system) and my mobile. Earlier as soon I connected the mobile it was immediatly recognized, now nothing.

If I in the mini pro go to "connection sharing and hotspot" the USB option to select the sharing via usb cable is inactivated (it can't be selected), and it says: "no USB is connected (this despite the calbe is connected and is actually charging the mobile phone from the PC.

Any suggestions?

do you have pc companion and Sony update service installed?

try to use other usb ports

disable your firewall , antivirus

restart phone

try to give it a few momments to detect the device

go to device manager and refresh

try to clear mtpapp app on settings>apps>look for mtpapp clear data

Thanks for the answer. I have pc companion and Sony update installed. I will try the suggestions you made and get back.
