Hello,

I use my phones for music and have got round the lack of sd card using an OTG cable & a USB stick.

This is less than ideal but there is room to make good in my opinion.

Firstly I found sd cards only work via a hub. Thus more external gadgets (clutter).

Since upgrading to ICS the convenient Unmount facitily has disappeared and now you have to go through menus to get to Storeage, very inconvenient.

My suggestion is a slimline 32GB etc usb stick that plugs into the phones socket pre-configured for OTG. The design could be along the lines of the unobtrusive slimline usb half moon bloothtooth dongles out there.

Some thought may be needed to allow for cases.

This would be an ideal and much needed fix as we need to have stuff outside the phone.

I've just upgraded to a U on my second phone and contemplating returning it. At least with my S some of my music can be stored and then completed with a usb stick, but as we know the U is lacking in storeage and sd card slot, fatal. My old laggy X8 is posing for reinstatement, ridiculous.

If anyone has news re the above, I would be grateful to receive same.

Russ.
