i am currently at china.

took out my german sim and entered a chinese one.

as i look to network connections, 3 chinese mobile networks are available, but i can't connect to.

the sim card is valid and works fine in a chinese mobile phone, but i want to use my own german neo v. it's not usefull to buy a new chinese smartphone now for my 6 weeks trip here.

background:

walking around here at chengdu is hard without any navigation. so being online with a chinese mobile network is comfortable in using google maps.

also translating from german to chinese is so easy with online translation ... very useful.

so i want to be online with my german smartphone neo v at china with a chinese sim card.

i didn't had problems like these with my htc last year. also german version and chinese sim card ... worked great. why do i have probs with the "great" sony now?

you tried the chinese sim while still on germany? unless you have roaming service, the sim would not work.
