I don't use anything like spotify. Facebook is a chunky 28MB running like the settings are too. Twitter, and Adobe another 10Mb each. Biggest of all is email around 37Mb.

However, I have to say that all these things are pretty usual and I would expect a smart phone to deal with them - that's the whole idea isn't it?

I'm really disappointed - am I going to have to get an iphone after all?

My Xperia Ray has started to tell me there is not enough memory to update the apps. It says there is about 43Mb left. I have moved aome apps to the SD card but many have that option greyed out.

Is this phone woefully underspecced when it comes to internal storage or is there a solution to this problem?

Thankyou

curlydog

Unfortunately there is no way to extend the internal memory on the phone so you can't have unlimited amounts of apps installed. You should check if some apps have a large amount of cached data, if so, clear it to get more space. If you for example are using spotify it takes up a great amount of space on the internal memory when listening and downloading songs to play offline.

Well that sounds pretty normal indeed. The Xperia Ray has about 300mb of available memory for app installs on the internal memory, if you want more than this you need to transfer apps to the SD card.
