Keypad stops working in C510

Hello to everyone, I have a Sony Ericsson C510. Recently it started giving me problems. Its keypad stops responding suddenly even though the phone is on i.e. if somebody will call me the phone will ring but I won't be able to receive it as the keypad won't work. The problem remains the same even after restarting the phone. I have tried updating the software using PC companion. I have a 1G memory stick with 5.1Mb free space and 13.1Mb free space in phone memory? Help me out as I have to restart the phone several times a day!!!

Since you have already tried the update to no avail, it's probably a hardware issue with the keypad membrane, something which can be replaced quite easily and is a common failing in older phones. I suggest you send it in for repair to your nearest Sony or Sony-approved service centre.You could of course try to do this yourself, so if you want to do this, let me know and I'll send you a dissasembly guide.
