topic Sensors not working in XPERIA archive

I have recently updated my Xperia Neo V to ICS via PC update as ususal, after a month or so I have got a notification of another update, this time over the air. I updated it, it went successfully. However, after the update I have seen issues with the proximity sensor and accelerometer sensor, they just stopped working!. I have checked for the option in settings >Display > Auto rotate screen, it was checked. Then I did factory data reset, nothing happened. Did OS refesh, repaired it from PC companion, no help. After that I've got a code for service menu, so I checked through service test, both the proximity and accelerometer are working fine. How come they are not working in simple operation? Screen doesn't go blank while taking a call and placing the phone on my ear, many time calls get disconnected due to this, and photos/webpages etc are not rotating when I hold the phone in landscape mode.

What could be the problem?

Unfortunately in this situation, I can only suggest that you take the handset to a service agent for assessment/repairs. Use the link below to find contact details of Sony Xperia Support within your region.

http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/
