Touch screen not responsive

Hi folks,

In the past couple of days, I am having trouble with the touchscreen on my Neo V. It does not respond as well as it did before. For instance, the slide unlock takes 3 times to slide before actually unlocking. The upper notifications bar does not get pulled down easily. And while scrolling, I end up opening something appearing on the screen wherever the finger is touching while scrolling. All this did not happen before. I performed a system test as well, which does not really show any problem with the touchscreen. Restarting the phone did not help either. What could be the issue then?

have you recently updated your phone ? and does the problem comes everytime you use the phone or just sometimes ? have you tried to check the screen while charging ?

also just remoove the batter for 5 minutes , insert it back , delete all the cache files ( download apps2sd application from play store ) and move all the applications to sd card.

Yep I updated to 4.0.4 but more than 2 weeks back. This problem surfaced just couple of days back.

The problem is always there while using the phone (even while charging)

I'll try removing the battery and keeping it away for some time. Then I'll update again.

EDIT: i realized that the problem started after installing Temple Run: Brave. I'll try uninstalling the app and check if the problem persists.

hmm uninstall the application and restart the phone.

Hi...I'm still facing the same problems. Any solution to this?

Also could static electricity be a reason for this? I heard that keeping a phone in the pocket without any cover might develop a static charge on the touchscreen rendering to slow response. If this is the case, what could be done to bring it back to normal?

i'm using my phone without any cover for a year so don't think that will a problem.

i use to face this issue when i connected it to my old pc , pc was the problem. but don't really know why you are facing this issue.

update your phone with this..

this is an official sony software so don't worry..

and if it says your phone is up-to-date click on install anyway..

this will delete all the phone's data so backup all your files first..
