It could be any number of things, one being mositure damage (considering the problem started small and grew larger over time; a sign of corrosion).

You don't have warranty services available being a second hand device, however you can still contact us to see what could be done in terms of possible repairs. Be aware if it IS water-damaged, this is not repairable.

Call us and let me know how it goes: http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/contact-info/

Hi there,

last year i bought a second hand xperia play. it was great for about two months then it started to become slightly unresponsive to my touch, i ignored it because i couldnt be bothered making a fuss out of nothing. But now a year later the screen has just became compleatly unresponsive. i have tryed disconnecting the battery, cleaning the screen, changing protective screen but nothing works. do you know what could be wrong with it? if so will it need a repair and how do i know if i have warrentee. Thanks in Advance
