wifi not working ( ICS )

i have updated to ICS more than a week before,

the problem is, i am not able connect to any wifi network,

tried using connectify Pro on windows 7 laptop,

its showing athentication problem
it was working properly for GB 2.3.4

waited for update , but now its enough yaar,

how long Sony gonna get the time to fix this issue,

as i dont have 3G data, so not installed a single app on my Neo V,

its been useless for me,

waiting, waiting and some more waiting,.....

Are you running ICS version 4.0.3 or 4.0.4? You can see this at Settings > About phone.

Many users here on the forum that updated from 4.0.3 -> 4.0.4 have posted and said that WiFi improved. I've been using WiFi on 4.0.4 and there are no issues what so ever for me. That doesn't rule out that others might have issues but it clearly shows there's no general issue for the software version.

Do you have the same issues with all networks? How many have you tried with? Please try with several if you haven't already and also try with at least one open network just to make sure if this works or not.

i have updated to 4.0.3 via PC campanion, and later updated to 4.0.4 via OTA,

i have tried two routers, first, which is connectify Pro on windows 7 ( connectfy pro is application to share internet on laptop)

second, my uncles broadband wifi router (dont know the make)

i used to connect conectfy pro on my Neo V with GB, bt now its not connecting to router , with the athentication error, this was WPA2 connection.

and broadband router was the open connection. for this, it is connecting but unable to transmit the data,

tried on Arc S too (with ICS 4.0.4) but no success

You can try to use PC Companion to repair the software (Support Zone > Start > Repair phone software). This will wipe clean the internal storage so make sure to back up/ sync stuff like contacts, calendar etc.

If this won't help and WiFi still doesn't work with any router I'd say a service center would have to take a look at the phone.
