No video call function

I have SE cedar mobile. I try to make video call from it. but it has no video call function.

I go to OPTIONS menu. but it has no video call. How can I make video call from this mobile????

Yes I know it. But it has no option to make video call.

you have to make sure that you have either H or 3G

Yes H is avaliable. in the options menu, no video call option

I try to repair phone using PC Companion. but result is same. no video calls

Perhaps this option is under the Organiser? If not, was your phone always like this, or did it have that option before? Is your phone's software network-customised, as this may explain the lack of this feature.

I checked. But no video call option under the organiser.

I never have this option before in this phone. I brought this phone as unlocked. It i s not network locked.

It may not be network locked, but it may still be network branded. In any case, try running the Update Service on the phone to update or re-install the software (whichever applies) and see if that restores video call functionality:

I use PC Companion and try to update. but it says "your phone is up to date"

I use repair phone feature. It backup my data and update my phone. but same result. no video call function.

I need to ask two things: 1) Where did you buy this phone from?

2) Are there any obvious signs of network branding such as logos on the phone and/or a customised main menu?

I brought it from retail store in our country (sri Lanka)

It has no logos on the phone and no customised main menu. it is basic menu style.

In that case, I suggest you take it back to that store for a replacement or refund.

Well it sounds like the software has been tampered with somehow, so if you bought it new with a Sony Ericsson warranty, then you could take it up with Sony if the retail store refuses to take responsibility.
