problems with phone...help..pretty please :)

so i have some problems with my phone...

1) when i take a picture, it doesn't save, nor does it have any option for me to save it. only about 3 or 4 pictures did save, but when i tried to open it to view it larger, it did not show up. so, really, it was more like the icon of the pictures saved.

2)when those 4 'icons' saved, and i tried to take another picture, a notification came up saying that i did not have enough memory...i have a 16 GB memory card in it, and it is virtual clean; it has nothing/very little on it

3) i did format the memory card...still had the problem

4) it heats up, even when not in use.

5) it freezes sometimes.

6) it turns off on its own sometiimes.

i did read some discussions, and it stated that i needed to update my software, but when i tried to download PC companion and the update service, neither worked. the undate service said that it couldn't connect to the network, and the pc companion stated that the application could not be installed. i tried to download and install them both twice.

i should probably state that my brothers had this phone before me, but neithe rof them really used it, and it still new except for one game that was downlaoded and installed.

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply...I got my phone updated, but I still have a problem with saving the pictures. I take the picture, and when I look at the album I see the 'icons', but when I try to see it bigger, I don't see it but instead see a square with the flash signal running through it. I tried it with the flash on and off just to see if there's a problem with that but it shows up the same.

The memory card is being recognized now though...

Also, sometimes the phone screen goes blank ; as though its off, but its not. When I press the volume key at the side I can hear the volume going up and down, but the screen doesn't light up. if I press any other key the same thing happens. Then after a while it completely stops, and I have to take out the battery and then put it back on for it to start; otherwise it wouldn't.

Hope i didn't confuse anyone. 😕

hey ..so i tried switching memory ards, i took out my sandisk 16gb micro sd hc memory card and switched it with a kingston micro sd 2 GB, and the camera worked fine. i'm a bit confused as to why though, since both are micro sd cards.
