For those who can't update to ICS 4.04

For those who have SI Number in the list but can't update. Problem Solved.

Just go to:

http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/update-service/

Download SUS - Sony Update Software and install it. Just run and "voilá".

hello, i need some help on the ics update matter..

i tried both pcc & sus, both encountered problems, tried disbling firewalls n antivirus

on pcc:

stuck on like 15% preparing cmputer 4 updte thingy n nver moves again

on sus:

made it until 160.1 mb mark, stops n says updte fail n displays no intrnet cnnction

your help is greatly appreciated

Unfortunately the problem isn't solved. Installing an old version of SEUS (SUS) istn't helpful. After installation the SEUS software gets updated to SUS and the problem is the same: "already latest software installed" but it's only 2.3.7 !?

Ok. I thought you could update after "new" istallation. It's too bad that no one could solve it!

I just got the update via SUS. but first i uninstalled the SUS then restarted the pc and the downloaded the SUS again from the link RelesSony posted here. and it worked.

I suspect it may have to do with your internet provider. It seems that connectivity is crucial and if there are too many users tapping into yoor bandwidth,you may experience disconnection from the server. Suggest you try at odd hours to see how. Happens to IOS upgraders too. Not unusual.

Is in that link.

Give full uninstall of SUS, restart your PC and install the newer version of SUS.

When you install it the SUS will update for a newer version that cannot been downloaded. Wait and try to update ICS. Please post the result's.

System requirements

Internet connection (preferably broadband)
USB cable
Intel^® Pentium^® 4, 2.0 GHz or higher, AMD Athlon
500 MB free hard disk space.
512 MB RAM
1 available USB 2.0 port
Windows XP™ (Home or Professional) with SP2 or later.
Microsoft^® Windows Vista™ (32/64 bit).
Microsoft^® Windows 7 (32/64 bit).

Maybe it has some issues with this version of Windows 7. The Windows 7 32bits has some issues with Sony applications like PCC - Sony PC Companion, so i think it's the OS. You can try to change the compability of the .EXE file.

- Righ button on EXE file.

- Properties

- Compability

Then, put:

- RUN as Administrator;

- Run this program as WINDOWS VISTA Service pack 2.

Then tell me the results.

Nice try! But no effect. I will get accses to an windows 7 32 bit and test the whole there. Maybe there is a chance! I will report...

doesnt make any sence to me when the software is saying ur phone has the latest software installed. worst part is sony support guy's are tottaly quite on this part. this seems to me the worst support forum i have ever seen where all support guy's dont even intarested to answare to the problem customers are having. but they are keep updating SI list.. tottaly nonsence
