ICS - Update Successful

Finally ICS update has been successful for my phone after very long and little frustrating wait.

Apologies if few of my threads an replies were little strong for you Sony, however it was really frustrating when updates are communicated and we were unable to do so, and with very little communication coming out from Sony about why it is happening.

After about 10 hours of operations few improvements / issues still persists with ICS updates are

1. Camera - Focus delay is still there

2. Camera - Image quality is still quite grainy & poor

3. Camera - Yellow tint is still observed

4. Widget Menu takes longer to update - even after closing all the applications and notifications

5. Phone gets extremely hot if you are on voice call which is little longer than 15 mins

6. Bluetooth speaker connectivity takes longer than it was on GB

7. Notification on lock-screen is not visible (if you use face unlock etc) there is no slider. you have use rely on 3rd party lock screen

While people must have seens so many threads around delays and issues with the update, if Sony takes care specially arround communication, we customer will not be as edgy and harsh on Sony.

Sony should also communicate & educate to their helpline to provide some smart answers to customers who are calling to check what's going on, as customers are always frustrated with the delays and when they call helpline all we hear is "reboot & reconnect" it does not make anything better.

So I called helpline again with above issues... I am told to factory reset my phone and try again.. little annoyed by hearing almost similar solutions.... either reboot or factory reset..

Has anyone spoke to customer care about similar issue and got different reply?

Sorry to hear that, of course some of the things you're mentioning can't be fixed with reset or software repair.

I have forwarded most of the points above but some of them are just the way the phone works.

Like Yellow tint, it's not an software problem so I don't see how that could become any different depending on software.

Phone gets hot? Well it will become warm depending on condition but never hot. This is hard to determine over a forum so if you think it becomes hot you should have it checked at an repair center. For me hot is hot, as in you can't hold the phone. The phone becoming warm is normal.

Thanks Johan, as long as there is an effort on making things improved

What bothers me most is the standard answer for almost everything from the Sony helpline... may be you could forward the feedback to them about the same...

Will there be any update / information given to us in form of either forum flash news or something about the issues getting fixed?
