Camera not working

I was taking snapshots with my Xperia Neo V, when my camera closed and now when I start the camera app, it says, "Unfortunately, the camera stopped". Using any other apps like Pudding Camera, It says, "Camera Open Error". Please help me as to what exactly should I do?

Edit: My LED flash also does not work.

run some test first. dial *#*#7378423#*#* service test>camera does it work?

try clearing camera cache/data ,, settings>apps>manage apps> camera tap on erase data.

reboot

No mate, tried that too. It shows Service test encountered a problem. Also, I've reinstalled my software using PCC, din't work either. Downloaded a flashlight app. The LED flash doesn't work too.

the issue might be the SD card, do you have another micro SD card that you can test?

I got the same problem and tried al the above things and went to the shop where i bought my mobile they said its a s/w updation problem, where there might be few corrupted files :smileysad:.. & suggested me to visit service center.. Could you please let me know how much time it will take to repair this issue. i dont want to give my mobile for long time.

try to reformat your sd card with you phone.. this might works

When you reset your phone... It does updates itself for new use.. Just backup the stuff and it should work out for you.. You would have to do all the apps again though!

i reformated my mobile nd updated the OS to, its the same, tried deleting my cache memory on camera bt getting the error again nd again.. So decided to go to Sony Service Center. no option left.

It had gone there the day before yesterday. They took it from me then and called up yesterday, telling its not a software issue and has been sent to the hardware department. They should call back within two working days.

hmm, den if its the same problem with my mobile den it will take 10 working days (10 working days Sony customercare executive informed me)..

I had the same problem with my Sony Xperia J....

Sony service center gives answers like water is detected inside mobile ..

One general questions to all:-

Why almost 3/10 mobiles camera is not working? Is the water is really cause??

My mobile was giving the same problem in summer also, there were no chances to get water inside.....

Bad hardware/Bad design...but good excuse....!!
