A bit the first time I brought the widget menu up, but afterwards it loaded up pretty quickly. I did reboot the phone once directly after the update.

what if you long press the HOME button -> stop widgets -> re open it

I did long press at the beginning, there was no apps to kill...

Open up some apps then kill them?

Tried killing all apps, same, need to wait about 2 seconds. Is ticking forcing GPU usable? Anyway, looks no difference to me.
