Hi,

My SI number (1257-5177) is listed but my phone as well as the Sony PC companion says that the software is up to date. Any suggestions on how to upgrade?

Relax, Softway. The phone's working and I have no complaints with GB (2.3.7)! Anyhow, I think the update will be there in a few days' time, failing which we can always try to update manually.

Sorry, but no one believes that it's a server overload problem if it checks and says that the phone is up-to-date.

i dont have any problem with GB either. i can wait not a problem at all with that. but the way the support team behaving here makes me very angry. how can they think they will comeup with a nonsence post and every person will belive on that.

buddy, everyone have limit to their paitence. its the sony team who should have some minimum resprect for their customers. they shouldnt lie to their customers to this level

Look at the bright side. At least they have a forum for SONY users. At least they have released the code for further Android development for Xperia S. At least they reply!! My friend bought a HTC, it hung up on him, they took the phone back and no reply since...!!!

I understand how it feels as a customer. Yes Sony is somewhat at fault, but as a customer shouldnt you at least have some respect to the workers of Sony? You are frustrated at Sony not its workers. They are just working like any other human beings out there.

You think with your kind of attitude will change a single thing? other than putting them down for no reasons. Its like yelling at a waitress for serving a customer with a bad dish when the waitress is not even the one who made it.

seriously all these nonsense bashing on innocent workers is going over the line. They cant give you answers unless the higher ups gives them the authority to. Understand how the world works.

I have to agree with softway. Why make a list that tells you that your phone will be updated when there isn't anything to download. Don't bother making a list sony!

Hey guys! My SI number is already listed and the update was supposed to be available since the 22nd. I have also asked for a customer rep to assist me in updating and told me that indeed my SI number is already listed and I should be able to update my phone. However, to my dismay, I didn't get any update for my phone just like the rest of you in here. Seems like there is some sort of a technical problem. I tried using the PC companion, and this error occured: SERVER NOT ACCESSIBLE... PC COMPANION NEED TO CONNECT TO AN ONLINE SERVER. THE SERVICE IS CURRENTLY NOT ACCESSIBLE. PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER.

have tried it again, and then says MY PHONE IS UP TO DATE!!! what the....

1 if the SI number is not listed some users complain because is not there, well that's fine, you are entitled to complain as much as you want, will this fix anything, no, the issue is that once Sony finish the update it has to be approved by networks, countries and/or regions, that's not on Sony.

2 once the update it's approved it can be roll out but if users (you can check multiple threads) check for an update every hour or multiple times a day even when their SI number isn't listed this create an issue to the servers

3 taking it out on other users or Sony moderators its not going to fix anything, if you push it a bit more you will start insulting or use profanity or spamming the forum and that can ban you from the forum.

4 It's pointless to ask the same question over and over on multiple threads when is my SI number going to be added, or why is my SI number on the list but I can't update, it'll be easier to first do some search on the forum and then post a new thread if you don't find your answer.

5 The idea of this forum is to help each other out not to bash each other.
