Same here. It goes into an infinite loop and says obtaining ip adress again and again. Before the update, my wifi was ok, but my 3G was broken. So i'm not downgrading and waiting with a discomfort.

Btw unsecured and WEP networks are working, but the ones with the Authentication fails. My old phone was w810i and i was totally happy with it. I bought this Xperia last week and i feel a bit regretful.

I tried the settings reset and then the repair facility yesterday. Nothing changed.

I tried using static IP options, with other DNS options, with WPA, WPA2 Mixed, WPA2 AES, 802.11 B+G, 802.11 B only, 802.11 G only modes.

Just in the 802.11 G only, i could stay 4 minutes online and then it dropped.

I tried to reset the router and the phone.

I tried to update the router's firmware (CNET CAR-854)

I read some advice about re-enabling the ANT services applications, they didn't work.

nothing worked

I did the service test now, it says connect failed

Ok, but it is working fine in Android 2.3 ? All the people are experiencing this problem on the internet with some of the routers. Some phone companies fixed it(like allshare or something in samsung), some are not. I don't think that this is an hardware problem. You can search on google "obtaining ip address" . It looks like a common Android problem which needs a fix.

I'll try with other routers and i will report back as soon as i get chance, take care. i'm leaving now

I'll try that.

I repaired with PCC but I can't find repair section in SUS but, in SUS reinstalling means repair, am i right? I did it. Nothing changed.

I have the same problem after upgrading to ICS, wifi keeps trying to connect->Connects-> and then disconnects. Wifi was working fine on GB. If I try to connect to another wifi network in range it is sometimes able to connect to my own network afterwarts and stay connected. But the next time I get out of range and it has to reconnect it gets into the loop again.

I have seen the problem on several different networks ( routers ), but in different degree, some networks work most of the time, others almost never work.

I have repaired the SW after the upgrade without any change.

I hope that Sony is able to find and fix the problem.

I have just tried to change my wifi network to "No security" or WEP, then my phone connected without any problems.
