PC Connection problem

I can not connect phone to PC. A week were not problems but now the phone is charging only.

I tried all possible:

I reset the phone several times with total deletion of data
I have renewed USB drivers from PC
I deleted several times data from MTP.
I restarted phone and PC many times.
etc.

I realized that the problem is with the phone software.

Currently found your update to ICS, but how to update when I need a connection to PC

Please help

Have you tried un-installing PCC rebooting then re-installing - It could be something as simple as that

Do you get any response from the phone and/or the PC when you perform the connection?

did you turned off your firewall and antivirus?

when you connect your phone to your computer does the LED turn on at all?

I tried to close the firewall, I tried other 3 PC and no result. I connected a PC Xperia X10 and immediately began loading drivers. The problem is as I said into the phone.

can someone upload all the folders that are in the phone software to copy them in mine and try again?

I've had this constantly since .75 was released. The phone just will not reliably connect to the PC. Sometimes I find you have to open 'devices and printers', remove the Xperia S and connect the phone again. It fails to install the driver then disconnect the phone and reconnect again and about 30% of the time it works!

I have to be honest but this is the single worst device I have ever connected to my PC. It takes literally a dozen attempts to get it working each time, by which point I have forgotten why I am connecting it!

Open PCC. Connect your phone by USB--> it should say that your phone is updated. Now, to browse your storage using PC, enter securities from your lock screen. I'm running ICS now and I always experience this. Maybe ICS is preventing users from browsing files from PC if your screen is locked?

Wasting you time Vadeemkaa nothing works and Sony can't be bothered to do anything about it.

They just trot out the same old, uninstall this, uninstall that, turn it off, turn it back on, have you tried a different cable, have you tried a different computer, blah, blah,blah.

They couldn't care less. Their fault it stopped working but they refuse to fix it.

It won't install the MTP USB drivers and therefore it won't access the memory.It'll tell you an Xperia S is connected but won't let you do anything with it.

Not allowed to swear on here so I'll stick with "It's a bloomin discrace"

Come on Sony sort it out. You broke it, you fix it. Simple.

We shouldn't have to jump through all these hoops. I've spent Hours and hours on this rubbish and I'm not Bloomin Happy.

Please tell me why they can't just fix what they broke. Seems Simple to me.
