Xperia ray SI Number problem

Hi i have an Xperia Ray with the SI 1254-4710 , and this is in the update list , but when i connect the phone PC companion and Update service its teling that i have the latest software .

How can i update my phone in this conditions .

Any help please .

Thanks for this link , but my phone is under waranty and i dont whant to lose that .

Now i whant to know why Pc companion dont see the new software for my phone , if the SI is officialy released .

Where is the problem ?

as you know many users are eager to grab the ics update, they say this has made the servers overloaded, so some are lucky that the update pushed thru their PCC or SUS, but as of the moment all they could say is to wait, until the update will be available to you, you are not alone in experiencing this problem..

heres a reason from a moderator here:

The software must be tested and approved for each kit before it can be launched. This is not done over night and there are hundreds of different kits out there and each kit will need testing and approval beftore the software will be made available. Each kit is different from other and needs intense testing

OK i see your point that you need to wait until SI appear on list , but the kit for my phone its release , and its apear on list : Xperia Ray (ST18) 1254-4710 6/21/2012 ( Check yourself if you whant ), but PCC or SUS cant find it .

On the other hands if i connect my wife Xperia Ray ( ST18 ) with different SI , a message pop up that "a new software avaible for your phone " , and after that if i connect my Xperia Ray nothig happen .

so your wife is lucky because the update has come earlier for her Xray. you can check her SI number on the list , maybe the SI number is one of the first batch to be released.. I guess for your Xray, you'll have to practice what seems to be the hated word on this forum...."WAIT LONGER"

try to check this, Check SI number at the back of your phone and compare with the one that you will find it here for both phone if there is a match.

You can find your kit number by accessing the service menu on your handset (type *#*#7378423#*#*). Then hit Service info > Software info and look for the ‘Customization Version’ of your Xperia.

Is your phone rooted?

if yes, then you MAY first need to bring everything back to standard (normal) by unrooting it.

the recommended way to unroot your phone is to reinstall your phone software.
