xperia arc doesn´t vibrate ?!

i just got a sony xperia arc, but it doesn´t vibrate at all.

even though i have it on mode: vibration = all the time

in this case i miss all my calls when i have my mobile in silent mode at work

who can help?

Hey

Dial *#*#7378423#*#* in dialer > service tests > vibrator > then press menu keys and voulme keys etc, to see if your mobile vibrates or not

where can i find the menu key? are the volume keys the keys on the right side?

Nopes, i have no idea about that,....

Try to change your mobile's language to english

settings > language and keyboard > language > english

and then do the same

i don't think its possible,,,, that menu should have been in english

Okh dial *#*#7378423#*#* in dialer

select 3rd option from above ( there must be 4 options ? right ? )

and then select the 10th option

see if you are able to reach it

after i dialed the number i select service tests and then there is a english menu with over 20 options starting with: keyboard, touch screen, display etc.

so third option there is DISPLAY?

further down on the 9th is VIBRATION

i click on that and then it says: test vibrating alert pres MENU key or side keys

but i still dont understand where i can find the MENU key??

nothing happens when i click on the side keys on the right

Okh it means its a hardware defect....

Go back to the place from where you bought the phone

hmm but where can i find this menu key?

i acutally won this phone, could also a softwareupdate work?

when i look at this forum and on the net, there seem to be quite a few people where the vibrate modus doesnt work...

why doesnt sony read this forum and do something about it for example a software update etc.

This is not a software problem, but a hardware issue

Your mobile's vibration motor has stopped working .

Service center guys need to check and correct it
