Display keep turning on/off automatically

My new Xperia Ray that I baught a week ago keeps turning on/off by its own without any user activity. What is the problem and what is causing it so, it did not do this when i unboxed it. Number two it gets heated when i watch a video or play a game or during a call. Any suggestion and remedies?

Hi most probably its due to third party app

However its good to perform a software repair..

Backup everything as it will erase all data on phone (sms, contacts,apps)

Update/Repair your phone via PCC or SUS

Regarding heating, its normal ...but if it gets too hot to hold it comfortably means it needs to be taken care of at service center
