Hello!

Yesterday I bought a Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V phone from a Cosmote shop.This is my first Sony Ericsson phone, so I must recognize that I don't know how to use it and now I'm trying to learn its applications, menu, options, etc.I have two problems with my Xperia:

1.When someone is calling me, my phone doesn't ring (at all), and the caller receives the busy tone.Where is the problem and how can I fix it?

2.When I've tried to listen music with the headset, I was hearing the music to the phone, out loud, not only on the headset.How should I use the headset?What I have to do?

Please help me.Thank You!

Hi, a few questions first ....

1. Did you experience this for every caller? If not, did you experience this for callers in your contact list only?

2. Are you able to test phone with another headset?

Hi.

1.Yes, my father's phone number is in the contact list and every time he calls me, receives the busy tone.In the missed calls list appears that he called me, but the phone doesn't ring and he get the busy tone.I didn't received calls from numbers that aren't in my contact list, so I don't know if the phone would ring in that situation.

2.No, I'm not able to try another headset, because I don't have another Sony headset.A headset from Samsung would work on Sony?I will try...

Ok ....

Suggest you delete your father's phone number from phone contact list and add again.

As for your headset, there isn't any setting for that. Restart phone and try again.

Hello again.

So...I erased my fathers's phone number from contact list and I asked him to call me.This time, the phone ringed and he didn't got the busy tone.So...where is the problem and what should I do, to add the phone numbers in the contact list, and still be able to receive calls from the numbers from my contact list?

And no, another headset, that is compatible with Sony, I don't have.So what can I do to be able to listen music with the phone's headset?Is the headset not working?

Just a couple of extra things worth a look....

One thing to check with your fathers number, there is an option to send direct to voice mail and annoyingly it is just above the 'Done' button. Wonder if you had checked that in error?

For the headset, you could have a look at the LiveWare manager application in your app drawer and see what the settings are there.

Ok, I fixed the both problems.

I erased my fathers's number and then I added it again in the contact list...Now the phone rings and my father doesn't get the busy tone.I only hope that this mesure is not necessary with all my numbers from the contact list.I asked a friend, which number is in the contact list, to call me, and the phone ringed.

With the headset...I restarted the phone, I tried again to listen music, and the headset works great.

Hello!

I have same kind of problem: When receiving phone calls, callers sometimes get busy tone, even if I have call waiting enabled. I also have call forwarding enabled, but calls don't go to voicemail. If I try to call someone, I also receive busy tone. Calls do show on phone log, however.

If I reset the phone, everything works just fine.

My phone is Xperia Pro, with ICS.

the SIM card might be acting up, try a new SIM card

I've forgot to say that the e-mail and the internet browser is working, the problem is only with the calls.

This seems to be a coverage issue, you can be certain by repairing your phone with SUS, do NOT install any apps and uninstall mcafee, check if you get the same problem
