Mobile Network State Disconnected

Within the last week, my Arc S has decided that it's not going to connect to the internet when not using wifi. MMS also does not work. I had changed no settings.

When I look at the phone status, Mobile Network State is shown as disconnected. I've tried downloading new settings, and it makes no difference.

The annoying thing is that if I take my sim card out and put it in my old Nokia E63, it works fine. When returning the sim card to my Arc S, it works initially, then the same problem occurs.

I was using Gingerbread when the problem started. Today I updated to ICS. Right after the update, my phone appeared to work as it should, and then, within a few minutes, the problem arose again.

My network provider is 3. Any help would be very much appreciated.

i keep getting the same problem, but only started after i updated to ICS, but then again i have only had the phone since the first, also the connection is fine on my old HTC so i don't know whats going on, i have been thinking its the update, but now im thinking its something to do with three?

also if i leave the phone for a min or so it starts working again

What you'll need to check here is if it works any better using another SIM in your phone and if not make a software repair using PC Companion.

tryed the repair loads of time since the update and nothing still changes, currenty thinking of sending back to sony for a downgrade
