Poor Video Call Quality while using VoIP

Hi Guys,

Mine is a Xperia S Build Number 6.0.A.3.73

While using video facility in Skype and Yahoo, the video quality of the phone's camera is too bad, very low resolution videos are seen on the other end, even when the back 12 MP camera is used. But the incoming video quality is normal, only the outgoing video quality is terrible.

Additionally, when i hold the phone vertically during these calls, my face looks inverted on the other side (image from front camera).

Any solution for these 2 posts ??

But while using camera independently, that is, the normal video clarity while using front camera is good. No issues about that.

Help me on how to get the actual resolution in these video calls...

If I remember correctly, the video call quality before the firmware update was too good, though I am not sure if the update created the problem.

Pls note that this occurs not just in one application but in the above said two apps.

I'm not sure how much this have to do with the phone software. I think the resolution of video calling through these app's is set by the app's themselves so check with the app developers if they might be working on improving this.

Still I will pass on your feedback about this but I don't think there much Sony can do in this particular case.

Also please note that the front camera image loks inverted in video calls, and I have mentioned it was working great during initial days.

Hope someone can help me on this!!
